ISTANBUL, July 1 (KUNA) -- Two Turkish soldiers and three village guards
were killed in firing attacks by suspected members of the Kurdistan Workers'
Party (PKK) at southeast of the country, Turkish army sources said Thursday.
The Turkish forces announced that in the confrontations with PKK members in
Pervari at Siirt province (southeast), resulted in eliminating 12 PKK members.
Turkish forces said that the hunt down for the PKK members is still on.
The PKK eliminated in June 1 a year-long truce, accusing the government of
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had "failed to reach a political
solution to the conflict with the Kurds". (end)
