MOSCOW, June 26 (KUNA) -- A Russian policeman and a militant were killed and
two others severely injured in clashes with gunmen on Saturday that took place
in Dagestan area in North Caucasus region.
"A gunman was shot down but the rest of the gunmen are being chased by
security forces after they hurried to hide in the forest areas," reported
Interfax news agency on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a Russian policeman was killed by gunmen when they opened fire
towards his vehicle in a town in Dagestan, the agency added.
Dagestan witnesses daily clashes caused by gunmen in attempts to stir up
tension and instability in the area. (end).
