ISLAMABAD, June 19 (KUNA) -- At least eleven people including five
policemen were wounded on Saturday in two different blast incidents in
Pakistan, said police.
Some unknown militants blew up a railway track in Quetta, capital of
Southwestern Baluchistan province, only minutes before a Rawalpindi-bound
Chiltan Express was to pass the area, said police and railway sources.
Railway sources said that the explosion badly damaged about two feet
portion of the track. Police sources confirmed that at least two people were
wounded in the incident. Railway authorities said that a team has been
dispatched to repair the track.
In a separate incident, said police sources, suspected Taliban militants
targeted a police mobile van with a roadside bomb in Dera Ismail Khan district
of northern Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa province. Police sources said that a police
mobile van was on routine patrol when it hit a roadside bomb.
The explosion wounded at least nine people including five policemen.
However, said sources, all of the wounded are in stable condition. (end).
