ISLAMABAD, May 29 (KUNA) -- Two policemen were gunned down by unknown
persons Saturday night in an eastern Pakistani city, said police.
The incident took place in Samnabad area of Lahore city, about 370
kilometers Southeast of Islamabad.
Police sources told KUNA that two unknown armed motorcyclists opened
indiscriminate fire at policemen, deployed at a checkpost.
Two policemen were killed and two injured in the assault, said sources. The
assailants managed to escape.
The incident took place only a day after two attacks on Ahmedi sect's
mosques killed over 90 and wounded 107 others in the city. (end)
