KHARTOUM, May 20 (KUNA) -- Sudanese authorities announced on Thursday the
continuous pursuit of the kidnappers of three aid workers that include a US
citizen and two Sudanese employees.
Sudanese Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Abdel Baqi Gilani said in a press
statement that security authorities are tracking down the abductors of the
three aid workers in Wad Ajoura area, west of Darfur, adding that the
abduction is to demand a ransom.
He described the kidnappers as gangsters, and urged international
organizations operating in the country to take precautionary measures while on
missions outside large towns.
On tuesday, eight unknown gunmen kidnapped three staff members of the US
Samaritan's Purse organization, working n the field of health and education in
Abu Ajura area.
The have been repeated instances of kidnapping of foreigners in Darfur for
