IRBIL, April 15 (KUNA) -- Eight Iraqis, including an officer and two
soldiers, were killed on Thursday in separate violent incidents in Mosul,
northern Iraq.
A source in the Iraqi police in Mosul told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that a
bomb exploded in a joint patrol of the army and Iraqi police in al-Farouq
area, west of Mosul, killing a police captain and two soldiers.
It added that unidentified gunmen riding in a car opened fire on a civilian
in Al-Zanjili area west of Mosul, killing him instantly.
It pointed out that gunmen also stormed a house and killed four people,
including three women in central Mosul. (end).
