ISLAMABAD, March 31 (KUNA) -- About ten people were wounded in an explosion
on Wednesday in a northern Pakistani district, said police.
A bomb exploded outside a dairy farm in the cantonment area of Bannu
district, police sources told KUNA. They said the explosion wounded about ten
people, adding that at least two of them are said to be in critical condition.
Another explosion was also reported in the northern Hangu town, about 150
kilometers from Islamabad. According to police sources, a bomb disposable
squad team was defusing a small bomb outside the house of a local politician
when it accidentally went off.
Sources said that there were some casualties but no figure was immediately
available. They added that the explosion also partially damaged the outer wall
of the house. (end)
