ISLAMABAD, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- The death toll in the Karachi bomb blasts have
increased to 33, whereas 167 wounded are still admitted in different
hospitals, said a provincial minister on Saturday.
The number of killed people in Fridays twin blasts has increased to 33,
said Provincial Health Minister, Dr. Sagher Ahmed, while talking to reporters
in Karachi, Pakistans largest commercial city.
He said that about 167 people were wounded, adding that near eighty-nine

Two suicide blasts struck Karachi on Friday. In both blasts the bombers had
used motorcycles. In the first explosion, a suicide bomber drove his
motorcycle into a bus carrying Shiite mourners on Shahra-e-Faisal Bridge and
the second explosion took place outside the emergency ward of Jinnah hospital.
Provincial Home Minister, Zulfiqar Mirza, earlier Saturday told reporters
that the central procession of Shiite mourners was the actual target of the
terrorists. However, he said, due to effective security arrangements, the
