Ayalon: Goldstone report to find its propoer place in dustbin of history

GAZA, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon has sharply criticized the Goldstone report on the recent Israeli war on the Gaza Strip a year ago.
Ayalon said in a statement quoted by Israeli radio today that the report will find its proper place in the dustbin of history.
He added that Israel is not obliged to conduct the investigation itself, but must instead conduct an investigation into "the terrorist practices of the Hamas Movement".
Ayalon stressed that all the civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip during the "Operation Cast Lead" resulted from Hamas' of residents of Gaza as human shields.
Israel launched a war in December 2008 on the Gaza Strip on the pretext of stopping the firing of Palestinian rockets into southern Israel. (end).
