16 Iraqis wounded in separate incidents including police officers

IRBIL, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- At least 16 Iraqis were wounded on Thursday in separate violent incidents at Kirkuk province in northern Iraq.
Police chief of Kirkuk's provinces and districts Brigadier Sarhad Qader told KUNA that an explosive device blew up a police patrol car at the center of Kirkuk, wounding seven of emergency police officers. He added that mortar shell hit a police station in al-Zab area, southwestern Kirkuk, injuring four people including two policemen.
Five pensioners were wounded as they tried to receive their paychecks, when a bomb planted at the Social Security Office in Tis'een district in Kirkuk exploded, he noted.(end) sbr.hs KUNA 281856 Jan 10NNNN
