CAIRO, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Egypt announced three people dead on Saturday after
having contracted the swine flu virus, bringing the death toll to 219 so far.
The cases are of two men aged 65 and 22 and a woman aged 26, said an
Egyptian Health Ministry statement.
Earlier, Health Minister Hatim Al-Jabaly had warned the public of the quick
spread of the disease and increased fatalities during the winter period,
urging extreme caution.
A Health Ministry spokesperson had also mentioned that most cases of
sufferers arriving from abroad have been mild, expecting the virus to soon be
eradicated in a year at least after the recent introduction of vaccines. (end)
