BAGHDAD, Jan 3 (KUNA) -- Iraqi oil production would reach around 11.4
million barrels per day within the upcoming five years, said Iraqi Prime
Minister Nouri Al-Maliki on Sunday.
Maliki lauded the recent oil deals signed between Iraq and foreign
companies saying it was a step in the right direction.
The Iraqi official also touched on the possibilities of investing in oil
fields in Iraq's Kurdistan, saying that he would discuss this issue with head
of the Kurdistan government Barham Saleh.
Revenues from Iraqi oil ventures would result in mutual benefit for all
Iraqis without discrimination, affirmed Maliki. (end)
