GAZA, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- Israel's Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor warned on Tuesday that if Iran obtains nuclear weapon in the near future, Arab countries will follow suit.
Meridor said in a statement quoted by Israel's radio that Saudi Arabia and Egypt will obtain nuclear weapons if Iran obtained it.
The Israeli official who is also in charge of Israel's foreign Intelligence bureau said that such situation will mean the end to scrapping the spread of nuclear weapons and the end of super power countries' dominance in the arena.
Earlier this month, Meridor said that super power countries have a great opportunity to compel Iran to stop its nuclear ambitions with further political and economic pressure, warning as well that any delay on the matter would complicate things even further. (end) mzt.mb KUNA 292211 Dec 09NNNN
