ISTANBUL, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Three Turkish soldiers were seriously wounded on
Friday in clashes with armed Kurdish rebels, during their participation in a
security operation to comb the agricultural area south-east Turkey.
Sources at Turkish General Staff, said the clashes occurred while the
Turkish soldiers launched a search operation in search of Kurdish guerrillas
in the town (Cemdinli) near the county (Hakkari'nin) south east of the
country, adding that government forces drove the rebels, and the two sides
exchanged fire.
The sources added that the injured were taken to the nearest hospital for
treatment, while the Turkish army continued its military operations there.(end)
