ISLAMABAD, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Five more militants and a soldier have been
killed during the ongoing military operation in South Waziristan tribal agency
which borders Afghanistan, the Pakistani military said on Sunday.
The military in a statement said that in the last twenty-four hours five
more militants have been killed in the operation and a soldier has also died.
It said that on Jandola-Sararogha Axis of the agency, Security forces have
carried out a search operation and have defused ten landmines, while it added,
that forces have carried out a consolidation operation and have strengthened
their positions on Shakai-Kaniguram axis.
In Razmak-Makeen axis, it said further, the Security forces have conducted
a clearance operation and defusing five landmines.
Pakistan forces have been conducting the operation in South Waziristan
tribal agency since early October. (end)
