KUWAIT, Nov 11 (KUNA) -- 1777 -- The British ship, Eagle, visits Kuwait and its sailors draw a map of Kuwait. The map is the first near-accurate drawing of Kuwait's geography and depicts Kuwait Bay almost exactly.
1962 -- The Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, endorses the constitution and issues it. The constitution is made up of 183 articles.
1962 -- Kaifan Co-op is promulgated.
1970 -- The State of Kuwait opens its embassy in Bulgaria.
1970 -- The State of Kuwait endorses the agreement on establishing the Arab Health Organization which was ratified by the Arab League Council on March 11, 1970.
1997 -- Rainfall in Kuwait records a high of 65 millimeters. The amount of rain leads to floods in the streets and causes the death of six people and more than 100 accidents. Flights to and from Kuwait Airport are stopped and the personal property of many people is destroyed as a result.
2001 -- Iraq launches a mortar and Kalashnikov gunfire at Kuwaiti territories on the border dividing the two countries.
2002 -- Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Saraawi, Chairman of the Environment Public Authority, wins a special American award for environment research.
2003 -- Khalid Al-Nafeesi Dialysis Center begins operation.
2003 -- Qadsiya Sports Club wins the Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad Football Cup after drawing with Al-Nasr Club.
