DOHA, Oct 29 (KUNA) -- Qatar witnessed its fourth death as a result of
swine flu, according to health authorities in the country on Thursday.
The deceased was a 13 year-old child of Iranian nationality who was
residing in Qatar, a Supreme Health Council official source said in a
statement.
The child, affected with Down syndrome was admitted to hospital late last
night after experiencing a cough and breathing trouble.
The case is the first of a minor, after the earlier death of three adults
as a result of the global pandemic.
The Qatari health authority had advised residents to get seasonal or swine
flu vaccination, and has already carried out seasonal flu vaccination of some
60,000 school students as part of a campaign to wipe out the deadly disease.
