KUWAIT, Oct 29 (KUNA) -- The Health Ministry reported 1,623 swine flu cases
this week, saying the majority had recovered.
The tally of swine flu infectees since April reached 6,640, most of which
were mild cases and had recovered soon after receiving medical treatment in
line with the World Health Organization's protocols.
The swine flu upsurge was attributed to the change of seasons from fall to
winter which instigates other health problems such as the seasonal influenza,
cold, and respiratory diseases.
The ministry called on people to follow preventive measures such as
avoiding hugging, staying away from crowded places, constantly washing hands
with warm water and soap, using sanitizers, covering one's mouth and nose with
a tissue when sneezing or coughing and disposing it immediately. (end)
