BAGHDAD, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Interior Ministry said on Thursday that 22
people were arrested on terrorism related charges in Diyala province northeast
of Baghdad.
A Ministry statement released here today said the police in Diyala province
arrested 22 people sought in a series of security operations in different
parts of the province.
The arrest was based on intelligence that led security forces to the
whereabouts of the accused and were arrested, statement added.
However, a car bomb exploded in Al-Amiriya area today, injuring two
civilians.(end)
