Iraqi MP reportedly nabbed in Malaysia on terrorism charges

BAGHDAD, Oct 15 (KUNA) -- Malaysian authorities have arrested the Iraqi MP Mohammad Al-Dayni who is wanted by the Iraqi judiciary.
Speaking at a news conference here on Thursday, MP Methal Al-Allousi said Al-Dayni was arrested by the Malaysian police in Malaysia.
He added that the Malaysian police asked the Iraqi embassy to confirm whether he was wanted by the Iraqi judicial authorities.
Al-Dayni is charged by the Iraqi authorities with involvement in the bombing of the Iraqi Parliament building in April 2007.
He is a member of the National Dialogue Front party and is a representative of the Diyala province. (end) mhg.rk KUNA 151534 Oct 09NNNN
