GAZA, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- The Israeli Ministry of Health announced on Thursday
two new deaths from the swine flu A/H1N1 virus, bringing the total death toll
to seven.
One of the deceased was a man who suffered from high temperature and was
diagnosed with A/H1N1. His condition improved, but he had a heart attack this
morning which led to his death, the ministry said in a statement.
The second case was a 54-year-old woman who was suffering from cancer and
was diagnosed with A/H1N1.
The ministry said, however, that at this point it was unconfirmed whether
swine flu was directly responsible for these two deaths.
More than 2,000 Israelis were infected with the A/H1N1 virus, the most
recent of whom were 60 soldiers in an army camp in southern Israel. (end)
