GAZA, Aug 1 (KUNA) -- The Israeli army set fire dozens of acres of farmland
near Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip on Saturday.
A number of Israeli soldiers trespassed the border between the Gaza Strip
and Israel, and burnt farmland crops, wheat and barley near Beir Hanoun,
Palestinian sources told KUNA.
The sources added that after the fire, Israeli soldiers opened fire
extensively at civilian homes.
The Israeli army burned Palestinian crops near the border to prevent land
owners from reaching their land.
The Israeli army warned the Palestinians to keep 300 meters away from a
fence separating between the Gaza Strip and Israle or they would be fired at
by Israeli forces.(end)
