IRBIL, July 19 (KUNA) -- Three Iraqi policemen were killed Sunday in
separate attacks in the northern city of Mosul, Iraq.
A security source in Mosul told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the two
policemen were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the neighborhood of
Al-Mithak east of Mosul. He also said that the Iraqi police found a beheaded
body of a young man in the neighborhood itself.
The source said that another policeman was killed and two others wounded in
a separate attack in downtown Mosul, after gunman threw a grenade at a police
patrol.
The Mosul police chief Major General Khaled Al-Hamadani said in a statement
that the partial curfew would be extended till further notice and began a
search for the attackers. (end)
