Iraq indentifies woman suicide bomber, arrests recruiter

BAGHDAD, June 20 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Interior Ministry has identified a woman suicide bomber and arrested her recruiter.
National Command Central Chief Brigadier General Abdul Karim Khalaf told reporters the Ministry of the Interior had investigated reports about a solace session held at an apartment in the Baghdad district of Al-Adhamiya and discovered that the mourned woman had carried out a suicide attack in the Baghdad district of Al-Kathmiya, killing 60 people, early this year.
Police had also established that family members belonged to terrorist organizations, and that the demised woman was one of the two suicide bombers who blew themselves in the Al-Kathmiya. Authorities have also arrested mastermind of the terrorist group and the person responsible for the recruitment, named Jamal Al-Abaydi, Brig. Gen. Khalaf added.
The same terrorist cell was responsible for terrorist attacks in Sadr City and killing a number of the ministry personnel of the Interior.
The twin suicide attack in Al-Kathmiya area, early last January, caused the death of approximately 60 people and wounded scores others. (end) ahh.hs KUNA 201752 Jun 09NNNN
