RAMALLAH, June 20 (KUNA) -- Israel forces dispersed Saturday a peaceful
march in the city of Beit Amr in Al-Khalil (Hebron) staged in protest of
confiscation of Palestinian land and the continued construction of Jewish
settlements.
Palestinian sources said the Israeli troops attacked the protestors with
batons and rifle butts, wounding three protestors -- one of which was an
Israeli peace activist and the other a press photographer.
Seven foreign supporters and Israeli peace activists were arrested, the
sources added.
Jewish settlers also set several orchids and farms in the same city on
fire, destroying 200 almond trees and grapevines, while the Israeli forces
looked on and did not intervene, according to the sources. (end)
