Iraqi forces execute security operation in Miqdadiya

BAGHDAD, June 20 (KUNA) -- Iraqi forces staged a wide-scale military operation on Saturday in Diyala Province's city of Miqdadiya, aimed at hunting down militants and confiscating their arms.
A security source, requesting anonymity, told KUNA that a curfew had been imposed on parts of Miqdadiya today, as part of the security plan being executed since the early hours of this morning.
Houses are being searched on the basis of accurate intelligence information, the source added.
