GAZA, June 13 (KUNA) -- Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint south
of the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Saturday.
Local radio stations said that the checkpoint was set up between Oraba and
Fahma towns in southern Jenin.
They added that Palestinian vehicles passing through were being stopped and
searched, and identity cards of their passengers were being scrutinized.
Israeli press had recently reported the intent of the Israeli Army to allow
Palestinians in the West Bank to move around with greater ease, apparently
after coming under pressure from the US Administration. (end)
