TEHRAN, June 8 (KUNA) -- Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari said here on Monday that Iran will be transform from being a country that imports gas to a country that produces it.
During the inaugration ceremony that was held at Aghajari oilfield in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, Nozari affirmed that his country is willing to increase the productivity of gas through establishing seven new refineries.
He added that the percentage of gas productivity in Iran is 1,650,000 barrels per day through nine refineries.
Referring to the Aghajari gas injection project as being major at both the local and regional levels, Nozari said, "It would be one of the best ways to maximize use of oil reserves, and a 35 million litre is to be added to the crude oil productivity." (end) ha.mao KUNA 081621 Jun 09NNNN
