TEHRAN, June 7 (KUNA) -- Visiting Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Sunday
called on the President of the Supreme Islamic Revolutionary Council in Iran
Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, who is receiving treatment of lung cancer in a Tehran
hospital.
The two sides also discussed the latest political and security developments
on the Iraqi arena, the Iranian news agency (IRNA) reported.
Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki last week called on Hakim.
Hakim also heads the iraqi United Alliance which groups a number of
political parties, including Maliki's Al Dawa Party. (end)
