Palestinian fisherman injured in Israeli assault

GAZA, June 6 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian fisherman in his twenties was mildly injured when the Israeli gunboats attacked his fishing boat, among others, off the southern coasts of Gaza's Rafah City, Palestinian medical source said on Saturday.
The fisherman received two bullets in the hand and the chest, and was later hospitalized, the source told KUNA.
Israeli gunboats shelled Palestinian fishing boats earlier today in different regions off the southern coasts of Gaza Strip.
Israeli vessels target Palestinian fishing boats on a daily basis, restraining them from fishing at a distance exceeding three miles, an act aimed at preventing them from smuggling weapons into Gaza through the sea. (pickup previous) mzt.mar KUNA 061205 Jun 09NNNN
