ALGIERS, May 31 (KUNA) -- An Algerian court issued a death sentence on
Sunday against Al-Qaeda militant accusing him of belonging to the group and
committing several murder operations in Seeda area west of Algeria.
The court found the accused guilty after admitting to terrorism crimes,
among them assassination of 22 military personnel in April 2002, in addition
to murdering of security and defense personnel.
Algerian security forces arrested the man, whose name nor nationality or
age were revealed, at his house in 2005, and seized AK47 machinegun with two
magazines. (end)
