ALGIERS, May 30 (KUNA) -- Algerian army forces successfully fended the
country Saturday against a five-member terrorist cell, eliminating it in an
operations southeast of the capital.
A security source said that the cell targeted a police patrol last
Wednesday and managed to kill nine security personnel, adding that two members
of the terrorist group were of the senior members of Al-Qadea in Islamic
Magrheb region.
Currently, security forces were combing the area to search for any
terrorists cells, said the source, adding that weapons caches were discovered
in the area were the five-member cell was operating. (end)
