GAZA, May 23 (KUNA) -- Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing
boats off the coasts of northern Gaza earlier Saturday.
Speaking to KUNA, eyewitnesses said the Israeli gunboats opened heavy fire
at the Palestinian boats in the Soudaniya coastal area of Beit Lahya, northern
Gaza Strip.
The boats were severely damaged, but no casualties were reported, and the
fishermen docked near the beach seeking safe haven, eyewitnesses said.
Israeli boats attack fishermen on a daily basis in the coasts of Gaza and
prevent the fishermen from fishing outside a two-mile radius. (end)
