RAMALLAH, May 22 (KUNA) -- An Israeli settler was found dead in the village
of Qaryut, south of Nablus, West Bank, Israeli radio reported on Friday.
The body suffered from gunshot wounds to the back, the radio mentioned,
without portraying the crime scene.
Police had conducted a wide-scale search of the victim who had been missing
since the early hours of morning, according to the radio.
Announcing its responsibility for the slaying, in a statement, was the Imad
Mughniya Martyrs branch of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, which said the
killing was in answer to Israel's crimes. (end)
