Israeli forces open fire on Palestinian fishing boats
Military and Security    5/17/2009 1:22:00 PM

GAZA, May 17 (KUNA) -- Israeli war-boats opened fire, Sunday, on Palestinian fishing boats along Rafah and Gaza shores, south Gaza Strip.
Palestinian Military sources told KUNA that Israeli boats opened heavy fire towards and damaged Palestinian fishing boats. They added the attacks have caused the fishermen to panic, but left no injuries.
Palestinian Fishermen Union Chairman Nizar Ayash meanwhile said that the Israeli boats attack fishermen on a daily basis, pointing out this is part of a systematic policy of striking the fishing sector in the strip which supports some 3,000 fishermen and their families.(end) mt.mao KUNA 171322 May 09NNNN
