BAGHDAD, April 25 (KUNA) -- Iraqi forces have dismantled two booby-trapped
cars and defused 20 explosive devices in different areas of Baghdad over the
past 24 hours, the Central Command said Saturday.
In a statement, the Central Command said one of the two cars was found in
Karrada, central Baghdad, which had been the scene of Thursday's suicide
bombing in which 28 people were killed.
The second car was found in New Baghdad, close to Karrada, where a
kidnapped man was freed and weapons were confiscated.
Moreover, Iraqi forces defused 20 explosive devices, most of which had been
planted in Mahmoudiya, southwestern Baghdad.
Baghdad and Diyala have witnessed a rise in terrorist attack over the past
