GAZA, April 18 (KUNA) -- Israeli gunboats on Saturday fired heavy fire on
Palestinian fishing boats off the beach of Gaza.
Palestinian security sources said the Israeli gunboats fired intensive
machine- gun fire toward Palestinian fishing boats which were fishing off the
town of Rafah.
But no Palestinian fishermen were injured in the Israeli attack. Only some
boats were damaged, they said.
Israeli gunboats target Palestinian fishing boats off Gaza on a daily basis
at the pretext that they sail beyond a three-mile distance, set by Tel Aviv
for the Palestinian fishermen to fish. (end)
