GAZA, March 7 (KUNA) -- Two Palestinian fishermen were wounded when Israeli
gunboats opened fire at their boat off the coast of city of Rafah, southern
Gaza Strip, on Saturday, Palestinian medical sources said.
The two fishermen were hit by shells fired from Israeli gunboats to the
west of Rafah, director of ambulance service and emergency at the Palestinian
health ministry Dr. Muwaweya Hassanein told KUNA.
He said the fishermen suffered medium to serious injuries.
"The Israeli boats fired several shells at the direction of the fishermen
who were doing their job," he said.
Israeli gunboats fired yesterday morning at Palestinian fishermen causing
damages to their boats. (end)
