BAGHDAD, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- A US soldier assigned to the Multi-National Force
(MNF) died on Thursday due to injuries he sustained while conducting a patrol
in Baghdad, the MNF said in a statement Friday.
The statement did not reveal further details, noting that the incident is
currently under investigation.
The soldier's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin,
the statement added.
The death toll of US troops killed in Iraq since the start of the war in
March 2003 has jumped to 4,252, including 15 soldiers killed in February alone.
