GAZA, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- An Israeli soldier has been taken captive by Hamas
operatives, the movement said Sunday.
Al-Aqsa Radio, affiliated to Hamas, said an Israeli soldier was taken
captive in Al-Rayis district, north of Gaza City, by activists of Ezzidin
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
Meanwhile, the Israeli radio said contact had been lost with an Israeli
soldier who was participating in the ground offensive on Gaza Strip.(end)
