DAMASCUS, Dec 27 (KUNA) -- Syria called on Saturday for holding an
emergency Arab summit to discuss possible action regarding the dangerous
situation in Gaza in light of today's Israeli aggression.
The state-run TV said President Bashar Al-Assad made the call in telephone
contacts with Arab leaders.
Al-Assad is the chairman of the current regular Arab summit, held in
Damascus last March. (end)
