Palestinians launch missile towards Israel

GAZA, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Palestinian activists launched here earlier on Sunday a missile towards southern Israel from Gaza.
Radio Israel quoted a spokesman of the army as saying that the missile exploded in an open area in Al-Naqab area adjacent to the Strip.
Yediot Ahronot Israeli newspaper stressed here that the head of the Israeli political team in the Israeli Ministry of Defense Amos Gilad, who is currently visiting Cairo, warned Hamas movement of a tough military operation, as a response to the continuous Palestinian launching of missiles towards Israel from Gaza.
It added that Gilad will inform the Egyptian officials that Israel will not change its truce with Hamas, which was made under an Egyptian patronage.
Sources in the Israel army have accused Hamas of manipulating the rules of the game in the Strip, in order to prevent the army of cruising there, saying that the Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Olmert informed the journalists last night that his country is committed to extend the truce with Gaza, according to the old rules, the excludes West Bank.
Olmert said that in case Hamas is planning to change the conditions of the truce, which will expire on the 19th of the current month, Israel will be not be committed in it. (end) zt.lb KUNA 141434 Dec 08NNNN
