Iraqi mayor detained after weapons cache discovered

BAGHDAD, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- Muqdadiyah's special weapons and tactics team arrested the Mayor of Abu Sayda after they discovered a weapons cache at his orchard house yesterday in Diyala province, the Multi-National Force (MNF) said on Saturday.
In a statement, the MNF said that among items found were a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, mortar tubes and tripods, a 2.75-inch rocket and a rocket-propelled grenade round, high-explosive mortar rounds, homemade bombs, non-electric detonators, mortar fuses, electric detonators, one stick of C4, fragmentation grenades, AK-47 barrels, machine gun barrels and copper explosively formed penetrators.
