BAGHDAD, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Seven Arab countries, including Kuwait, are set
to reopen their embassies in Baghdad, Iraqi official said here on Sunday.
The concerned countries have taken over the facilities of their embassies
and started doing maintenance works there, Spokesman of the Iraqi government
Ali Al-Dabbagh said in a press conference without specifying the time of
reopening the embassies.
The seven countries include the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates,
Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, Al-Dabbagh revealed.
Kuwait has named former Chief of Staff Ali Al-Mo'men as first Kuwait
Ambassador to Iraq since the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
Bahrain appointed Salah Ali Al-Maleki as ambassador to Iraq. (end)
