Eight Iraqis from one family killed by old bomb in southern Iraq

BAGHDAD, Aug 7 (KUNA) -- Eight people from one family were killed after an old bomb remnant of the past war exploded in the Thi Qar province in southern Iraq, police said on Thursday.
Police said in a statement to KUNA that the incident took place when a tribal family was setting up their tent in a rural area near Thi Qar area, south of Basra city.
While family members were attempting to dig in the area the bomb exploded killing eight and injuring nine others. (end) ahh.mb KUNA 071901 Aug 08NNNN
