IRBIL, July 26 (KUNA) -- Three civilians were killed and two Iraqi
policemen were wounded in two explosions in the northern cities of Mosul and
Kirkuk on Saturday.
A Mosul police source told KUNA that a bomb blew up in a civilian vehicle
in the southern part of the city, killing three civilians.
Meanwhile a Kirkuk police source said that a bomb targeted an Iraqi police
patrol in the southern district of the city, injuring two policemen who were
on board.
The same source added that the Iraqi Army arrested today seven individuals
suspected of belonging to the organization of the Islamic State of Iraq,
considered a terrorist organization, in an operation in southern Kirkuk.
Police seized a number of weapons and explosives in the operation, the
