BAGHDAD, July 8 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Special Forces arrested three employees of
the Iraqi Ministry of Science and Technology on charges of affiliation with
Al-Qaeda's network in the country, the US Army reported Tuesday.
An Army statement said the arrests came on Sunday upon orders of the
Interior Ministry and that the three employees worked in the ministry's Risafa
headquarters.
The men are said to be involved in killings and attacks and in planning of
several operations to drive residents out of their neighborhoods in Al-Karadah
and Al-Rashid areas, it added.
The statement further detailed that two of the arrestees are siblings, one
of whom is involved in killing of four Iraqis, while the third is involved in
financing "Al-Qaeda in Iraq".(end)
