Israeli troops shoot Palestinian fishermen in Gaza; seven detained in W. Bank

RAMALLAH, July 5 (KUNA) -- Israeli navy boats opened fire on Palestinian fishermen in the "Sudanese region" in the northern area of the West Bank, Palestinian security sources in Gaza Strip said on Saturday.
The troops that were stationed in the Strip fired the fishermen with a barrage of bullets without causing injuries.
This is the secnd such incident to occur over the past few hours after the Israeli boats fired a couple of shells towards the Palestinian fishing boats in Tel Sultan area, western Rafah, causing material damage, the sources added.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops injured three Palestinians, including a female farmer, in shootings that took place in the Israeli-Palestinian boarders.
Israel continued closing the crossings to Gaza Strip for the third time in two days, claiming that Fatah brigades were once again firing missiles at Israeli settlements.
In a related development, seven Palestinian were detained by the Israeli troops, including five who were captured in the city of Nablus when Israeli forces stormed the area, while the others were arrested in Betlehem. (end) nq.sab KUNA 051410 Jul 08NNNN
