Israel re-closes Gaza crossings, blocks entry of food stuff

GAZA, July 1 (KUNA) -- The Israeli Army has announced that it had re-closed this morning the commercial crossings linking Gaza Strip with Israel.
An Israeli military spokesman justified this move by saying that "the Palestinians have breached the truce which has been effective for 11 days now in Gaza Strip." He further pointed out that "the closure will continue until further notice." Moreover, the spokesman explained that "the closure will be effective in the commercial crossings of (Sufa) north of Rafah and (Karni) east of Gaza, in addition to the (Nahal Oz) crossing through which quantities of fuel and gas make their way to Gaza.
In the comments aired by Radio Israel, the spokesman confirmed that "the Israeli Security forces will review, tonight, the security conditions in the Strip before deciding on its next move." The Israeli Army had claimed that a rocket was fired last night from north Gaza Strip and exploded in an open area inside Negev near Gaza, but caused no human casualties or material damage.
Meanwhile in Gaza, no Palestinian militant faction has claimed responsibility for the attack, which Israel said was the third since the truce took effect 10 days ago.(end) zt.kld KUNA 011105 Jul 08NNNN
