| Police get more time to quiz terror suspect |

LONDON, June 20 (KUNA) -- British detectives have been granted more time to
question a Somalian teenager arrested under the UK Terrorism Act, police
confirmed Friday.
The 19-year-old man, from Bristol, south-west England, remains in custody
in connection with an investigation into another local teenager, Andrew
Ibrahim, who is accused of attempting to make an explosive.
Forensic teams continue to search the new suspect's home following his
arrest last Monday.
An examination of a second property in the same area ended with "nothing of
any significance" being found, the police said.
Today, police spokesman Dan Mountain said detectives now have until this
Monday to quiz the teenager, after an application made last Wednesday.
Last month Ibrahim, 19, of Bristol, was remanded in custody to await trial.
He is accused of being in possession of two home-made vests, ball bearings,
nails and screws.
Ibrahim is also charged with making or having an explosive with intent.
The trial is expected to take place in January next year. (end)
